This is my favorite bar in Manhattan. I love park ave tav! The park burger is amazing. The service is great. The ambiance is perfect. Also amazing martinis here.

Here's the deal: The restaurant has a variety seating options (outside / inside / bar). Service is polite and attentive. They offer very good staple tavern food and some elevated additions. The lunch specials are worth a try as well. I loved my lamb burger w/ harissa!

Thank you Jason for your smile and amazing service. You made us feel at home. This tavern is so beautiful and quaint both outside and in. The food is great and the service better. It's near Grand central station on beautiful park Avenue. See you when I come back to New York

Grabbed a drink for happy hour here and it was a really nice spot. Friendly bartenders and great drinks, highly recommend.

Yesterday was my first visit, so there's a lot to comment on. Because it was about as close to perfect a Saturday as you'll see in NY - nice weather, gentle breeze, sunny, comfortable - we sat outside. It's been a long time sicne I've been to this part of NYC, so the literal curbside tables were a nice change to see, with that section of Park Ave. now closed to auto traffic, making for a nice pedestrian only area. I ordered the brunch burger with scrambled eggs and bacon added, while my friend had a Reuben. The burger was excellent; the only mistake I made was subbing the breakfast potatoes for the french fries. My friend had those, and they were a better choice- the fries were perfect, while the breakfst potatoes, though hot and with a nice flavor, lacked the crispness I'd been hiping for from fresh breakfast potatoes from a grill. My mistake. As far as the phyiscal accomodations - the tables for two had ample room for food drinks and acompanments, but the outdoor metal chairs were less comfortable than I'd have preferred, and were not easy to move when trying to slide them on the pavement. The restuarant certainly appears to be doing well enough that they can invest in some outdoor chairs that work better on a sidewalk and pavement.

Nice and lively spot for drinks / American food near Grand Central. I got their Burger of the Month ($26), which wasn't actually that special, as it seemed to be a pretty normal burger with gruyere cheese, onions, and baby arugula. It was pretty good though - the cheese was nicely melted, the brioche buns were nice and soft, and the patty was cooked to a proper medium as I requested. The burger also came with a generous amount of fries, which were very standard quality. That being said, I don't really think this was worth the $26. The place itself has a lively environment with a classy yet casual atmosphere. There is plenty of seating inside, as well as a decent amount of outdoor seating by the sidewalk. It was fairly busy when we went for Friday dinner, but we were able to get an outdoor table without a reservation. The staff are fairly friendly and the service speed is average. It was a bit odd that they didn't initially give any ketchup for my fries though - then after asking for it, they just brought me a single tiny container of ketchup (although they were happy to provide more later). Overall, Park Avenue Tavern is a nice spot for a happy hour or casual drinks/food with friends, despite the food being pretty average in quality and slightly on the pricier side compared to similar places.

Food 3.5/5.0 Service 3.0/5.0 Value 3.0/5.0 Decor 3.5/5.0 Overall 4.0/5.0 Decent spot near Grand Central. The food is really just okay, but the outdoor seating on Park South is nice if you can get it.

Hot spot, steak house feel. Inside is dark, moody, high end. Outside (heated and enclosed) seating is more approachable but still very nice. If you want to have a true conversation then select outside. If you want the full ambiance select inside. Service and food are on point. Drinks are delicious and meticulously crafted and served surprisingly fast for how busy this place gets. Wine selection is varied. Menu is smallish but enough range you'll fine something delicious for all tastes. Highly recommend for a good bar experience, date night, business meeting (outside), or something 3 blocks from grand central station.

We came here unexpectedly for brunch for two during Christmas Eve when plans at another place fell through. They had a very heated enclosed outdoor space that was really nice. The service was good and the menu was diverse. I had a hot toddy off the menu and my friend got this really pretty purple cocktail. In preparation for heavier holiday meals, I opted for a healthier option. I got the omelette with spinach, tomatoes and onions with a side of salad. It was healthy tasting. My friend got the chorizo hash which tasted good. Overall, not a bad option for brunch if you're in the neighborhood but standard enough where it's not worth it to travel out of your way for this.
